MaterialDriven is a design and innovation consultancy, and education platform. At the heart of its work is a focus on inventive materials, their processes of making, and the creators behind them. While its education arm serves as a platform to showcase design in an open-source format, its consultancy plays a definitive role in the growth of emerging talent–designers and material makers–and the evolution of materials and products.
Working with its database and network of design talent, MaterialDriven pairs them with manufacturers, brands, and fellow practitioners, resulting in collaborations which are instrumental to scaling-up new materials and inventions, as well as integrating them into industry and community.
The company’s work takes the format of exhibitions, talks and workshops, communication campaigns and built projects.
Their projects and talks have been devised for the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, the Design Museum in London, the Royal College of Art, London Design Festival, the Disruptive Innovation Festival, and Somerset House.
