Foresso emerged from an appreciation of timber’s rich and natural grain, and takes cues from familiar materials to produce something new and original. Delicate curls of planed wood and FSC-certified timber pulp that would otherwise go to waste are sourced from local saw mills, reclaimed and transformed into a material that recreates the aesthetic of traditional terrazzo, fashioned from leftover marble used to construct palazzos in 15th century Venice. From countertops to café tables, Foresso is a durable and lightweight can be adapted for any interior space.
The material was created by designer Conor Taylor, and has been developed with British design/manufacturing entity Solomon & Wu.
