Solidwool is an innovative way of working with wool to create a new kind of composite. It is like fiberglass, but with wool as its reinforcement instead of glass. Justin and Hannah, founders of Solidwool focus on using wool from Herdwick sheep, the iconic breed of the British Lake District. This wool is wiry, dark and hard. Their aim is for Solidwool to be considered a sustainable alternative to today's petrochemical-based structurally reinforced plastics.
